Losec 10mg 7 Tablets

Losec is a widely respected brand name for Omeprazole - an effective treatment for reflux. This was previously only available on prescription but has now become available directly from the Pharmacist. Packs of 7 or 14 tablets can be bought "over the counter" after a discussion with your pharmacist.

The 10mg tablet is a lower dose than usually prescribed but is an effective treatment for milder symptoms. The effect for most people will be better than Ranitidine or Gaviscon (also available directly from the Pharmacy) although if the symptoms are infrequent - say once a week or less then Ranitidine as required might be the best option. It is certainly an advance to now have a range of products available without a prescription. For frequent and troublesome symptoms you should go directly to your doctor.

Ingredients:

Each tablet contains:
Omeprazole                              10mg
Also contains: microcrystalline cellulose, glyceryl monostearate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid co-polymer, sugar spheres, paraffin, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate, polyvinylpyrrolidone crosslinked, sodium stearyl fumarate, talc, triethyl citrate, iron oxide, titanium dioxide.
 
Gluten and lactose free.
 
Directions:

Take 2 tablets daily until symptoms improve, then reduce to 1 tablet once daily.
Use the lowest dose that controls your symptoms.

Precautions:

Seek medical advice if you:

• Under 18 years of age
• Experiencing weight loss
• Have persistent regurgitation of food, vomiting or difficulty swallowing
• Have symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding
• Are pregnant or breast feeding
• Have liver disease or liver problems
• At risk of bleeding problems
• Have or have had a stomach ulcer
