Refund policy

Our returns policy is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Sale of Goods Act 1908, and Fair Trading Act 1986 (together, “New Zealand Consumer Law”) because we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please read the following carefully to ensure you are fully aware of your rights under this policy and our obligations to you. Nothing in our returns policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify the application of any NZ Consumer Law.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at sam@unichemgreenhithe.co.nz. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 2/8 Greenhithe Road, Greenhithe, Auckland 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned,

Items of a personal nature, vitamins, medicines, underwear and opened items, or items sold on mark down or clearance, cannot be exchanged or returned, unless the product is faulty, expired or has caused an allergic reaction. Products which are considered Dangerous Goods, including but not limited to perfume products, aerosols, nail polish and nail polish remover cannot be sent via courier unless explicitly declared to the courier as Dangerous Goods.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Other returns

Unichem Greenhithe will accept product returns and provide you with an exchange, refund or repair where:

  1. The product is faulty or is not of acceptable quality, or
  2. Significantly different to those shown or described to you, or
  3. The product is unsafe, and

Unichem Greenhithe may elect to return the product to the manufacturer to determine the nature of the problem.  Unichem Greenhithe reserves the right not to offer an exchange, refund or repair where the item fault is a result of misuse or neglect.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
